Tim Young

Coach Tim Young’s 4th grade boys AAU team was ranked 4th best in New England by Zero Gravity during the Fall 2019 AAU season.  Coach Young has previously served as and assistant basketball coach Pine Manor College.

Prior to coaching, Coach Young had a decorated four-year career at Newbury College where he took the Nighthawks to the New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) Semifinals three out of four years.  Appearing in 76 games, he finished second amongst the institutions all-time scoring leaders with 1,506 points while is the program leader in career three-point field goals (226) and season three-point field goals.  

During his freshman season in 2009-10, Young was named the NECC Rookie of the Year Award finishing first amongst all conference rookies, averaging 16.9 points per game as well as 3.2 three-pointers per game. In addition, Young also earned the institution’s first Male Rookie of the Year Award after leading the Nighthawks with 433 points and a program season record 77 three-pointers per game. Young went on to earn All-NECC Second Team and All-Tournament Team honors as a senior in 2012-13.

Before playing for Newbury College, Coach Young had an excellent basketball career at Brockton High School, helping lead the Boxers to a 23-1 season.  Young graduated from Newbury in December 2013 with a Bachelor’s Degree in mass communications
