2018 High School Summer League

The 2018 High School Summer League is a great opportunity for high school teams to play together as a group in highly competitive games throughout the summer.   Click HERE to check out the results of our previous leagues.

The 2018 DBBC / NESB High School Summer League will be held at the new Dana Barros facility in Stoughton starting on June 28th.  The facility has 5 hardwood courts with bleachers for spectators, a snack bar, and air conditioning.

  • The league will be on Thursday nights for 8 weeks with each team playing 1 game per week including playoffs (league champions will receive a t-shirt).
  • Game times will be at 6pm, 7pm, or 8pm with schedule requests available
  • We will have a varsity division, JV division, and an incoming freshmen division
  • Each game will have 2 experienced high school referees as well as a scoreboard operator / bookkeeper
  • The cost for the season will be $575 per team
  • We will also be offering teams a chance for a 1/2 league with 4 games for $300

F4S High School Boys August Clinic

NESB is offering a summer clinic this August for high school boy basketball players with the ever popular Foundations 4 Success (F4S) led by Bridgewater-Raynham varsity boys basketball head coach Doug Alves and Westwood varsity boys basketball coach Steve St. Martin.

Foundations 4 Success continues their run of excellent basketball clinics with the latest installment for boy basketball players entering 9th - 12th grade. 

The 3-day clinic will be held at Bridgewater-Raynham Regional High School from Monday August 6th - Wednesday August 8th from 9:30am - 2:30pm.

The Bridgewater-Raynham gym is a top of the line facility with 4 full size, hardwood courts with over 14 baskets making it an ideal gym for both players and coaches to maximize reps and development.

The cost of the clinic is $200 per player.

Families who have multiple siblings looking to register will get a $50 discount for every additional sibling that registers after the first.  To receive this discount you must send an email to nespartanbasketball@gmail.com prior to registering.

End of Spring Clinic

The 2018 NESB End of Spring Clinic will take place starting June 11th is open to any boys basketball players currently in grades 2 - 9.  The clinic will be run by members of the NESB Coach Staff led by Milton Academy varsity assistant assistant coach Mark Holmes.  The clinic will be for 3 days from Monday June 11th - Wednesday June 13th and take place at Thurston Middle School in Westwood, MA.  The cost of the clinic will be $25 per player.  

The clinic will be broken down into 4 age groups:

  • Group 1 - 2nd and 3rd graders will be from 6pm to 7:20pm each day
  • Group 2 - 4th and 5th graders will be from 6pm to 7;20pm each day
  • Group 3 - 6th and 7th graders will be from 7:30pm - 9pm each day
  • Group 4 - 8th and 9th graders will be from 7:30pm - 9pm each day

High School AAU Tryout Time Change

Due to the potential snow storm on Wednesday March 7th, we are pushing back the 2nd Session of our High School Boys AAU Tryouts to the following week.

Session 2 will now be held on Tuesday March 13th from 6pm to 7:30pm at the Charles River School in Dover. 

Session 1 will remain at the same time, Tuesday March 6th from 6pm to 7:30pm. 

Here is the updated tryout schedule for boys in grades 9-11:

  • Session 1 on Tuesday March 6th from 6pm – 7:30pm at the Charles River School in Dover.
  • Session 2 on Tuesday March 13th from 6pm – 7:30pm at the Charles River School in Dover.

Final Rosters will be posted by Friday March 16th.

All tryouts will take place at the Charles River School in Dover, MA (6 Old Meadow Road).

Session 2 will be held on Wednesday March 7th.

Final rosters will be posted by March 9th.

2018 NESB High School Spring Leagues Announced

NESB and The M-PLEX are pleased to partner in offering the NESB Boys High School Spring Leagues for the 2018 Spring Season.  With Boys Varsity and Junior Varsity Divisions offered, this league is designed specifically for local high school teams (No AAU Clubs) who will compete against each other each week in highly competitive, officiated games.  The league provides a fantastic opportunity for players to seamlessly continue their development both individually and as a team throughout the off-season.

All games will be played at M-PLEX and will be officiated by 2 highly qualified and experienced high school referees.  Games will be comprised of two 20 minute halves.  
 
The league will run for 9 weeks on Sunday evenings (between 7pm and 9pm) starting April 8th and ending on June 2nd.  Each team will be guaranteed 1 game every week for a total of 9 games for the season.  End of the season playoffs are included as part of the 9 game season with the Championship team receiving Championship T-Shirts.
 
The price per team is $575 for the full season. A non-refundable deposit of $125 is required at the time of registration to reserve your team’s spot with the remaining balance of $450 due by Friday March 30, 2018.  Places in the league ARE limited and expected to sell out so be sure to register your team early to secure your team’s spot!
 
This will be NESB’s 9th season hosting off-season high school leagues and their 2nd season running the leagues out of the M-PLEX facility (previous leagues were hosted in Westwood).  During this past Fall 2017, Bridgewater-Raynham High School became the 2017 NESB Varsity Fall League Champions.  To check out past NESB Leagues, you can visit the league history portion of their website HERE.

February Break Clinics

This February, we will be running clinics for both middle school and high school basketball players (boys and girls) during February Break.  You can register for any of the clinic sessions by clicking the Register buttons below.

The clinics will be run by Coach Mark Holmes of Milton Academy and other NESB staff members.  

There will be 3 clinics sessions:

  • Session 1 - Tuesday February 20th
  • Session 2 - Wednesday February 21st
  • Session 3 - Thursday February 22nd

All 3 sessions will be held at the Charles River School in Dover.

The Middle School Clinics will be from 6pm to 7pm each night and are open to boy and girl basketball players in 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th grade.

The High School Clinics will be from 7pm to 8pm each night and are open to boy and girl basketball players in 9th, 10th, and 11th grade.

Players may choose to attend any of the sessions for $15 per session, or you can choose to attend all 3 sessions for a discounted rate of $35.

NESB Winter Clinic at Mplex

New England Spartan Basketball (NESB) will be hosting a winter skills clinic for all boy and girl basketball players in grades 4-9.  The clinic will be run by NESB and Milton Academy coach Mark Holmes and assisted by other NESB staff members.  This clinic is designed to give players the chance to develop their basketball skills during their winter break.  The focus will be to improve each player's fundamental skills and to teach each player new drills and concepts.

The clinic will be held on Wednesday December 27th, 2017 at the Mansfield Sportsplex (Mplex) located at 31 Oxford Road in Mansfield, MA.  The Mplex is a climate controlled, 5-court basketball facility that hosts many of the top basketball tournaments, camps, and clinics in the area.  The clinic will be broken down into 2 sessions:

-Session 1: will be open to all 4th, 5th, and 6th grade basketball players and will be from 10am to 11:30am

-Session 2: will be open to all 7th, 8th, and 9th grade basketball players and will be from 11:30am to 1pm

The price for the clinic is $40 per player.  As an added bonus, all players who attend our winter clinic will receive a 50% discount on their tryout registration fee for NESB's Spring AAU Basketball Tryouts taking place this upcoming February 2018.
